Violence against women is a complex problem, tackling it needs political commitment, and the effective involvement of a range of sectors providing protection from violence and support for victims. This paper examines how violence against women is both a cause and consequence of homelessness and will also examine the gender specific needs of women who are homeless often linked to experiences of violence and trauma.
