About the European Observatory on Homelessness
FEANTSA set up the European Observatory on Homelessness (EOH) more than 15 years ago, to carry out transnational research on homelessness and housing exclusion. Academic research is now an integral part of FEANTSA's work, as a good understanding of the problem of homelessness is the key to developing effective policies. A substantial part of FEANTSA's budget is reserved for research and research related activities.
FEANTSA's statutory bodies decide on the research strategy, the annual research programmes, and the research themes.
Once a year, the EOH organises a European Research Conference, and produces a European Journal of Homelessness.
